Project Freelancer is a covert (and ”currently“ illegal) experiment launched by Leonard Church, more recognizable as the director. It had super soldiers who were each code named after different states of the United States of America; New York, Wyoming, North and South Dakota, Maine, Washington, Carolina, Conneticut, and Texas. The purpose of Project Freelancer was to recreate the Director’s wife, who died in The Great War.
